Space Entrepreneurship in Europe, Plovdiv

On 8th of November we visited Plovdiv for the third time. Stanimir Gantchev – Coordinator of Space Challenges Program and Co founder of EnduroSat, presented the topic of Space entrepreneurship in Europe and provided an overview of European Space Agency’ (ESA) leading Programme – Copernicus.

Stanimir showed the audience that the space sector is open for business initiatives and even more – European Commission and ESA provide funding and support for projects run by companies and private entities. The guests were pleased to find out that Copernicus data is freely available and can be used in applications that can help European society overcome some major challenges such as food security, pollution and climate change.
