Introduction to space technology and science

Learn in details what is spacecraft? How does it function? Learn the basics of orbital mechanics. Understand the engineering logic behind rockets and satellites.

Mr. Raychev will present the content using as example selected European space projects and will give a brief overview of European Space Agency’ current activities in Space.

The presentation will be interactive and organized as an open talk.

About the lecturer

Raycho Raychev

Raycho Raychev is founder of Space Challenges Program – a leading educational initiative for space science, technology and exploration. He is the program’s architect. Raycho is founder of SPACEPORT: http://www.spaceport.spaceedu.net – the biggest online space educational platform in Eastern Europe. He is a CEO and Founder of EnduroSat – a satellite-engineering company. He has experience in space project management, business development and space education.

His background:

Master of Science in Space Management at International Space University, Graduate Studies Program at Singularity University, NASA Ames Research Center, Bachelor in Modern History at Sofia University

About “Space For Bulgaria” project:

Space4BG is developed by Association Tsiolkovsky in cooperation with European Space Agency. It aims to increase the awareness about space technologies and applications of European Space Agency (ESA) as well as to bring basic space science and technology knowledge to the region.

Raycho Raychev is the program’s architect. He designed Space Challenges and made the plans for its structure and format. Later he assembled the awesome and almighty SC Team. Currently he is coordinating the initiative and is engaged in updating the program’s curriculum.
