ISS and its science and exploration mission, Sofia

On the 9th of November, Antonio Fortunato – lead EUROCOM, and deputy lead of Crew Operations for the ESA Astronaut Office, gave a wonderful presentation about the International Space Station (ISS) and its importance for science and exploration, in Sofia University.

Antonio gave us an insignt on the operations in the ISS and a good idea of what life is like on the station. He also gave us a detailed tour of the station and explained what the different modules are used for and how the BIGGEST spacecraft was put together in one of the greatest international cooperations! He answered many questions and we were glad to find so many curious visitors in a friendly interactive environment.

We even had live music on our event thanks to a very talanted space enthusiast who performed several classical pieces by Mozart and Paganini!

Our events will continue with a lecture from Dr. Ing. Marco Lisi this Friday. Follow us for more news regarding the Space4BG project!
